Written Answers. - Departmental Offices.

Dan Neville

Question:

276 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide information on the decision to erect a Dáil Éireann commemoration plaque at the Leinster House 2000 building; if a similar plaque was completed by the Office of Public Works but not erected; if so, the cost of this plaque; and the reasons it was not erected in Leinster House 2000. [15485/03]

The Commissioners of Public Works commissioned the creation of a bronze wall panel listing all elected members to Dáil Éireann as a suitable artwork to mark the construction of the Leinster House 2000 office buildings. The completed wall will be erected this summer. A prototype bronze wall was made at a cost of €51,000. That was not erected, as it was found to contain inaccuracies.
