I accept the need to replace the recompression chamber at University College Hospital Galway. Officials of my Department have been in discussion with the Western Health Board regarding the size and specification for a new decompression chamber at University College Hospital, Galway. The board has recently submitted documentation outlining their proposal for the replacement of the chamber which is being considered by my Department. Further discussions will take place between officials of my Department and the board to expedite this project.
