632 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport his plans and timescale for autonomy of Cork and Shannon airports; his plans to introduce multi-annual budgets for the airports; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15863/03]
One of the policy initiatives in the programme for Government in relation to the future of Aer Rianta is the commitment to ensure greater autonomy and independence for Shannon and Cork airports. My Department is currently finalising a process of consultation with relevant interested parties and stakeholders in relation to this important issue and it is my intention to bring proposals to Government shortly.
