703 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government if the arrangements are in place in his Department to prosecute transgressions of the national monuments legislation, for example, section 14 of the National Monuments Act 1930, as amended, which relates to preservation orders. My Department is empowered to prosecute summary offences under the National Monuments Acts and arranges for the exercise of this power as necessary.
