Question:754 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the total cost of projects announced or promised by Ministers of the last Government between 1 January 2002 and 17 May 2002. [15299/03]
Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.
As the Deputy will be aware, the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs was established in June 2003 and brought together a range of functions previously held by six different Departments of State. In such circumstances, the Deputy will appreciate that tracking announcements or approvals by the various Ministers involved over the period of months prior to the establishment of the new Department is not a practical proposition. However, if the Deputy wishes to contact me with a specific query in respect of any scheme currently under the remit of my Department, I would be happy to assist in any way I can.
