John McGuinness

Question:

85 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons increased sub vention and top up was refused in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if the appeal which was refused will be re-examined; and if a review of the case will be expedited. [16351/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, the responsibility for the provision of health services in the Kilkenny area rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him, as a matter of urgency.
