Vol. 568 No. 3

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

John McGuinness

Question:

86 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if an application under housing aid for the elderly being processed by the South-Eastern Health Board in the name of a person (details supplied) in County Carlow will be given priority in view of the urgent need in the case and the person's state of health and age. [16352/03]

As the Deputy will be aware, the responsibility for the provision of health services in the Carlow area rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to him as a matter of urgency.
