Vol. 568 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme.

David Stanton

Question:

89 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress of St. Patrick's Hospital, Fermoy; when the design team is to be approved by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16355/03]

A draft final brief for this project has recently been received from the Southern Health Board and is currently being considered by my Department. The progression of this project, including the approval of a design team, will be considered in the context of a review now being undertaken by my Department of health capital projects under the national development plan. When this is completed my Department will then be in a position to discuss with the Southern Health Board the capital priorities overall within the Board's area in line with funding resources available under the NDP.
