Vol. 568 No. 3

Written Answers. - Residency Permits.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

103 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if residency status has been or will be awarded in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare and their family, whose child is an Irish citizen; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16320/03]

The person in question, with his spouse, currently has permission to remain in the State on the basis of their parentage of an Irish born child. This permission was initially granted in April 2001 and was renewed last May 2003.
