Written Answers. - Planning Issues.

John McGuinness

Question:

123 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 386 of 15 October 2002, the progress made in obtaining a licence under the Air Pollution Act 1997, to operate a kiln at an industrial estate in Kilkenny; and his views on whether the cost of the kiln, ?14,500, represents value for money. [16343/03]

Further consultation is taking place between my Department and the relevant regulatory authorities about satisfying environmental licensing requirements in this case. This consideration will be completed as soon as possible.
