275 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Transport the current number of staff, broken down by grade, employed in the press office in respect of his office and the office of each Minister of State within his Department; the current amount paid in respect of each office in terms of salary, overtime and expenses; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table provides the information requested by the Deputy. The total salary cost is based on current salary points. The press officer is shared between the Minister for Transport and the Minister of State at the Department of Transport. The press officer's salary was also included in the total salary cost in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 379.
