Question:

171 Mr. Gilmore asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the current number of staff, broken down by grade, employed in the press office in respect of her office and the office of each Minister of State within her Department; the current amount paid in respect of each office in terms of salary, overtime and expenses; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [17135/03]

There is one press officer with four support staff employed in the press and media relations office of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment. All of the staff concerned are civil servants with the breakdown of grades as follows: one principal officer; one higher executive officer; one executive officer; and two clerical officers. The press and media relations office inform the public about the policies, functions and activities of both the Department and the Tánaiste and two Ministers of State.
