188 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if an application for the EU retirement pension scheme by a person (details supplied) in County Galway has been received in his Department; if the application is in order; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17081/03]
In March 2003 my Department was obliged to return an application from the person named for the early retirement scheme because it was not accompanied by the required legal documentation. The application was resubmitted on 12 June 2003 and is currently being examined. Once this examination is complete, the person named will be advised of the outcome.
