Vol. 568 No. 6

Written Answers. - Members' Chronology.

Dan Neville

Question:

194 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 276 of 10 June 2003, the details of the inaccuracies on the prototype bronze wall; and the details of all alterations made from the original prototype bronze wall when completing the wall to be erected in summer 2003. [17002/03]

The principal inaccuracy in the prototype bronze wall, which was to be a replication of the original signatures of elected Members, was the duplication of a signature. There were also doubts over the authenticity of certain signatures and issues in regard to copyright difficulties in reproducing signatures.

The completed wall will not comprise of copies of original signatures but will be a listing of names. A sequencing has been determined whereby each Member will be listed chronologically in order of election and by constituency, constituencies being in alphabetical order. The years of each general election have been added and a title denoting what is listed will appear at the top.
