Vol. 570 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

206 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo still has not received payment in respect of 26 animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme even though an appeal was successful in this person's favour on 13 November 2002; and if this money will be paid immediately. [18585/03]

New information has come to light since the appeal was decided and the director of agriculture appeals is now examining the case to establish whether or not the decision should be revised. It is expected that this examination will be concluded within the next two weeks. The director will then write to the herd owner notifying him of the outcome.
