Question:307 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will make the financial provision for the building of a physical education hall at Pobalscoil Iosolde, Palmerstown, Dublin 20. [18663/03]
Written Answers. - Physical Education Facilities.
The PE hall project at Pobailscoil Iosolde, Palmerstown, is at an advanced stage of architectural planning, that is, pre-tender stage. It is included in section 6 of the capital programme for 2003. However, given the level of financial commitments to be met from projects already in construction, my Department does not envisage that it will be in a position during this year to allow architectural planning for further large scale projects to progress beyond their current authorised stage. The timing of when this project can proceed to tender construction is dependent on the financial allocation for 2004 and subsequent years.
