Vol. 570 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Trevor Sargent

Question:

152 Mr. Sargent asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the financial aid which fur farms have received from the Government, through Enterprise Ireland or otherwise, in the past five years. [18352/03]

The Deputy will appreciate that I can answer only in respect of the public bodies under my remit. Enterprise Ireland has informed me that it provided support to North West Fur Farms within the past five years. The total amount paid was €762.00 and was to provide mentor support to the company. The mentor was appointed on 30 April 1998 for ten visits.

Sligo County Enterprise Board reports that it approved a capital grant of £9,000 to North West Fur Farms in 1999.
