Vol. 570 No. 3

Written Answers. - Community Development.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

265 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the funding available from his Department to support a project (details supplied); if the necessary funding will continue for this project throughout 2004; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19097/03]

Dublin Inner City Partnership provides funding under the local development social inclusion programme to the project in question. Area Development Management Limited manages this programme on behalf of my Department and funding for 2003 was allocated to the partnership by ADM Limited recently. The partnership must manage its programme of activities for the year, from within resources available to it. Therefore any decisions regarding the allocation of funding to support local projects is a matter for the partnership to determine.
