317 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 387 of 24 June 2003, the number of such applications pending a decision; the number of persons in his Department working on these applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The number of applications on hands of the type referred to by the Deputy is 238 on 31 May 2003. The resources allocated to process such applications are dependent on the prioritised work requirements of the immigration division of my Department at any one time.
