Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Home Relocation Scheme.

Denis Naughten

Question:

381 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance if his Department has any plans to re-introduce the home relocation scheme; if he will include a small number of families in the Shannon basin under any such scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21008/03]

A home relocation scheme was introduced by the Government in 1995 as a one-off response to the flooding which occurred in 1994-5 and the closing date for receipt of applications was 31 December 1998. All funding made available under this scheme has now been expended or is committed and there are no plans to implement a further home relocation scheme.
