Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ministerial Correspondence.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

459 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received a complaint from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 18 concerning an educational institution (details supplied); the inquiries he has made regarding these matters; the progress which has been made since his letter to this person on 21 May 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19663/03]

I have written further, on 17 September 2003, to the person referred to by the Deputy. This follows receipt of an update from the Higher Education Authority in relation to the matters raised in the original correspondence. In this regard, I understand that the board of studies for the particular programme within the university concerned has approved a recommendation of the university's audit committee in relation to matters that were the subject of complaint.
