187 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance the progress made to date by the Revenue powers group; if it is expected that the report of the group will be received by the 31 October 2003 deadline; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20766/03]

I understand that the work of the Revenue powers group is progressing well and that it is expected that there will be no significant delay in the delivery of their report from the target date of 31 October 2003.
