Vol. 571 No. 1

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Denis Naughten

Question:

1016 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the additional sums of money which have been sought by each health board to cater for the increased demand on their services from asylum seekers and refugees; if he will approve this funding for each health board; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21220/03]

Some of the health boards have mentioned the above issues in their monthly commentaries on review of expenditure. However, as explained in the Department's 2003 letter of determination, all health boards must plan the delivery of services in 2003 within the funding notified.
