Vol. 572 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Question:

210 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) did not receive a 2001 area aid extensification and headage payment; when it will be issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22913/03]

The person named submitted two applications in respect of eight animals under the 2001 special beef premium scheme and also had one animal eligible under the 2001 slaughter premium scheme. Advance payment at the rate of 80% of premium has issued in respect of two animals under the special beef premium scheme and in respect of one animal under the slaughter premium scheme. Further payments under both schemes are being held pending the completion of investigations into identification and registration issues in relation to bovine animals on the named person's holding. My Department will be writing to the person named in relation to this matter shortly.
