Question:371 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if closures at Peamount chest hospital (details supplied) will be immediately reversed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23200/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services at Peamount Hospital rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to examine the matter raised by the Deputy and to respond to him directly.
