Written Answers. - Care of the Elderly.

John McGuinness

Question:

387 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if permission is sought from patients to access their accounts for the purpose of purchasing furniture for their rooms at Lismore, Lacken and other locations in the SEHB area; if the request for furniture is made by the patient or if they are obliged to furnish their own rooms; if there is a signed and recorded agreement in each case; if the procedure in relation to this was followed in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23295/03]
