Vol. 572 No. 3

Written Answers. - Judicial Retirements.

David Stanton

Question:

456 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the names of the judges who are due to retire or have indicated their intention to resign within the next 12 months; the names of the members of the Judiciary who have tendered their resignation in the past six months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22961/03]

I am advised that only one judge, a judge of the Supreme Court, is due to retire within the next 12 months on reaching the maximum retirement age. While in the past six months a number of judges have retired on reaching the maximum retirement age, no judges have tendered their resignation during this period.
