Vol. 572 No. 4

Written Answers. - Anti-Racism Measures.

Aengus Ó Snodaigh

Question:

107 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans for implementation and resourcing of the new national action plan against racism. [23409/03]

As the Deputy is aware, in line with the commitment given at the world conference against racism in South Africa in September 2001, and following a 12-month consultation process, my Department is developing a national action plan against racism.

I expect, at this stage, that the plan will be approved by Government at the end of the year and that funding for the plan will be considered in line with the Government's Estimates process.
