67 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance if funding will be provided in budget 2004 for 1,382 persons with intellectual disabilities on residential waiting lists, 621 persons seeking day care places, 823 waiting for respite care, a further investment of ?150 million to give all full-time carers the allowance and an extra ?20 million for educational disadvantage. I refer the Deputy to my Budget Statement, delivered yesterday, in which I provided an additional €25 million specifically to support persons with physical, sensory and intellectual disability. This is in addition to the comprehensive spending plans outlined in the Estimates for the public service for 2004.
