Written Answers. - Afforestation Programme.
A management committee comprising the forest service of the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, AIB, Coillte, Dúchas and Woodlands of Ireland is in place. The long-term plans for the forests are being finalised by this group.

Question:300 Mr. Eamon Ryan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the legal costs incurred by the State in the recent unsuccessful application for annulment of Commission Decision 2000/449/EC of 5 July 2000 excluding from Community financing certain expenditure incurred by Ireland under the guarantee section of the European agricultural guidance and guarantee fund which disallowed forestry premium grants to Coillte Teoranta. [29700/03]
My Department has received no indication to date of the legal costs associated with this case.
