Vol. 576 No. 6

Written Answers. - Decentralisation Programme.

Denis Naughten

Question:

101 Mr. Naughten asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the legislation required to allow for decentralisation of any section of her Department; the section involved; the legislation which must be amended; the timetable for the publication of the legislation. [30340/03]

The relocation or decentralisation of offices or sections of my Department does not require legislation. It has been decided that the Companies Registration Office will transfer to Carlow and discussions have commenced within the Department as to what other areas will be relocated to Carlow, to bring the total numbers leaving Dublin to 250, as announced in budget 2003.
