167 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding an application for resource teaching for a person (details supplied) in County Galway who is attending Glinsk National School; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30196/03]
My Department has received an application for resource teaching from Glinsk National School in County Galway for the pupil referred to by the Deputy.
The application is currently being examined by a dedicated team of inspectors and psychologists on the basis of the supporting professional reports provided and in the context of resources already available at the school. The school concerned will be informed of the outcome as early as possible in the current school year.
