Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case:

Deputy Denis Naughten – To discuss the need for a review of the strategy for the delivery of banking and government services through the An Post network.

Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív – To discuss the need to ensure there are sufficient dentists in the scheme to provide dental services to medical card holders in County Galway.

Deputy Maurice Quinlivan – To discuss the issue of rising rents in Limerick city, the lack of available rental properties and the steps being taken to alleviate this crisis.

Deputy Darren O'Rourke – To discuss the need to deliver a new school building at Lismullen National School, County Meath.

Deputy Gary Gannon – To discuss the development of a Parnell Square cultural quarter and the currently vacant Ambassador Theatre in Dublin 1.

Deputy Mairéad Farrell – Chun an inbhuanaitheacht den chúram agus oideachas leanaí in Indreabhán, Contae na Gaillimhe, a phlé - To discuss the sustainability of early childhood care and education in Indreabhán, County Galway.

Deputy Colm Burke – To discuss the action that is being taken to reduce the waiting time for the allocation of home care hours to applicants in the Cork region and the reason only 25% of applicants names are furnished to private home care providers even where there are no HSE staff available to provide such home care.

Deputy Brian Leddin – To discuss the absence of school bus provision for students of Salesian Secondary College, Pallaskenry, and the effects this is having on home and family life, school and the local environment.

Deputy Emer Higgins – To discuss the urgent need for approved school building projects in Dublin Mid-West to begin construction.

The matters raised by Deputies Éamon Ó Cuív, Denis Naughten, Emer Higgins and Brian Leddin have been selected for discussion.
