Under Standing Order 87 the following message will be sent to the Dáil:

The Joint Committee on Education and Science has completed its consideration of the following draft order:

Employment Equality Act 1998 (section 12) (Church of Ireland College of Education) Order, 2008,

copies of which were laid in draft form before Dáil Éireann on 27th May, 2008.

Under Standing Order 72 the following message will be sent to the Seanad:

The Joint Committee on Education and Science has completed its consideration of the following draft order:

Employment Equality Act 1998 (section 12) (Church of Ireland College of Education) Order, 2008,

copies of which were laid in draft form before Seanad Éireann on 27th May, 2008.

I thank the Minister of State and his officials for their attendance.

I thank the Chairman, Deputies and Senators for their co-operation in this matter. It is a constitutional issue, which has been recognised by the committee. A similar motion was tabled before the committee on two previous occasions. I thank everyone for their co-operation.
