Business of Joint Committee.

There are some housekeeping matters to deal with. I welcome Deputy Carty, who is representing the Vice Chairman, Deputy Martin Brady. Is it agreed to stay in public session, since our guests are here? Agreed.

The minutes of the meeting of 20 September have been circulated. Are they agreed? Agreed.

The next item relates to correspondence regarding an issue which was discussed at our last meeting. It is on the agenda for noting. The clerk to the committee has explained in detail that the person in question is a lobbyist.

He requested a meeting. I have made further inquiries. He is a lobbyist. It is not appropriate for us to meet him.

I congratulate the clerk. That was well spotted. While I read the correspondence, I did not note that point.
