Scrutiny of EU Legislative Proposals

We have two proposals in respect of which further action is proposed and nine in respect of which further action is not proposed. We will deal first with the proposals in respect of which further action is proposed.

The first document is COM (2009) (793), which is a proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on alternative dispute resolution for consumer disputes and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC, directive on consumer ADR. The lead Department is the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. It is recommended that this proposal warrants further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The second proposal is COM (2011) (794), which is proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on online dispute resolution for consumer disputes. The lead Department is again the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. It is recommended that this proposal warrants further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

There are nine proposals which are all related to the anti-dumping measures, which it is recommended do not warrant further scrutiny. They are COM (2011) 322, COM (2011) 544, COM (2011) 644, COM (2011) 756, COM (2011) 775, COM (2011) 806, COM (2011) 863, COM (2011) 867 and COM (2011) 868. It is proposed to note these adopted measures. Is that agreed? Agreed.
