Vol. 8 No. 2

NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE BILL, 1926.

CATHAOIRLEACH

We have now to dispose of the Minister for Local Government and Public Health. There is nothing more he can say to us about this Bill, as we know all about it. The only question is, shall we proceed with it now or postpone it until to-morrow? I suggest to the House, if they are agreeable, and if they are satisfied and take my assurance that it is purely formal, we might dispose of it now. Will any Senator move the suspension of the Standing Orders?

I move that the Standing Orders be suspended to enable the National Health Insurance Bill, 1926, to be taken for Second Reading.

Question put and agreed to.

I move that the Standing Orders be suspended to enable the remaining stages of the Bill to be taken.

Question put and agreed to.
The Bill was then put through Committee, the final stages, and passed.
