Vol. 11 No. 7

PUBLIC BUSINESS. - REPORT OF JOINT RESTAURANT COMMITTEE.

I move: "That the second Report of the Joint Restaurant Committee do lie on the Table of the House, and be printed and circulated." The history of the restaurant amounts to this: Up to 1926 it was rather an unprofitable speculation, it did not pay its way; in 1927 the accounts about balanced, and I am glad to say that during the year 1928, under very careful management and with great watchfulness, which resulted in entire satisfaction to the patrons, there was a profit of £487 12s. 3d. Now with our better catering equipment and more comprehensive methods, with the same vigilence and organisation, we hope to be able to show better results in the future.

Question put and agreed to.
The Seanad adjourned at 5.50 p.m. until March 20th.
