Remuneration of Cathaoirleach and the Leas-Chathaoirleach.

I move:—

That, in accordance with the Report of the Special Committee on the Remuneration of the Cathaoirleach and Leas-Chathaoirleach and pursuant to Article 21 of the Constitution, the remuneration of the Cathaoirleach be at the rate of £1,200 per annum and that of the Leas-Chathaoirleach at £750 per annum as and from the 1st June, 1929.

It will be within the recollection of the House that in response to a motion moved by Senator Connolly this matter was referred to a Committee. The Committee sat and has reported. The report has been printed.
