At yesterday's meeting Senator Mrs. Clarke said that she had an amendment which she wished to propose. I had some conversation with her afterwards, and I am not now quite clear whether she has decided to propose an amendment or not. I told her that if she still wished to do so I would ask the Seanad to postpone this Stage, as I would like to give her every reasonable opportunity. I do not think she will propose an amendment, but at the same time if she wishes to do so I am anxious to give her the opportunity.
