Vol. 27 No. 20

Business of Seanad.

I have recevied notice from Senator Douglas that, on the motion for the adjournment of the House this evening, he will call attention to the action of the Minister for Supplies in sending notices to manufacturers of cotton fabrics directing them not to distribute piece goods of any description after April 19th unless distribution directions in respect of such piece goods have been received from the Minister.

I am accepting that notice. The matter will be taken on the conclusion of to-day's business but, if that business has not been concluded by 8.30 p.m., the proceedings will be interrupted at that hour to take Senator Douglas's notice.

As Senator Rowlette is, I regret, unwell, item No. 5 will not be taken to-day. The Minister has been so informed. Item No. 6, in the name of Senator Baxter, will not, I am informed, be moved and the motion will be taken off the Order Paper.
