Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 26 Jun 1946

Vol. 32 No. 1

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

It is now 10 o'clock. Perhaps we might decide on business for to-morrow?

A suggestion has been made and more or less agreed to that we take the Hire Purchase Bill and finish it to-morrow night. It is suggested that we resume the Local Government Bill to-morrow at 3 and that we should not sit on Friday. The Minister for Local Government will not be available on Friday and we have to contact the Minister for Industry and Commerce who is speaking in the Dáil at the moment, but we have taken it for granted that he will be available.

The point is that if the Minister for Industry and Commerce is available at 7 o'clock to-morrow we will take the Hire Purchase Bill.

And if he is not available, the Minister for Local Government will agree to carry on.

It is clear that we are not sitting on Friday?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

So I understand.

The Seanad adjourned at 10.3 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, 27th June, 1946.
