A communication has been received from the Secretary of the Department of the Taoiseach that, in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4. (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1946, the Taoiseach on the 3rd May, 1949, assigned the Department of Local Government to William Norton, a member of the Government.
