I move:—
That, notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in Standing Order No. 58 of the Standing Orders relative to Public Business, the Committee of Selection appointed under that Standing Order do consist of 11 Senators as follows, of whom four shall constitute a quorum:— the Leas-Chathaoirleach (Chairman), Senators Carton, Crosbie, Hawkins, Kissane, McCrea, McGuire, Meighan, O'Connell, O'Donnell and Ted O'Sullivan.
For the benefit of new Senators, I should say that it is through the machinery of this Committee that other Committees are nominated and ultimately appointed.
