Fuarthas scéala ó Rúnaí Roinn an Taoisigh go ndearna (1) an tUachtarán, ar ainmniú an Taoisigh, le comhaontadh Dháil Éireann roimh ré, Seán Ó Maoláin, comhálta de Sheanad Éireann, a cheapadh, an 16 Bealtaine, 1957, de bhun Airteagail 13, 1, 2º den Bhunreacht, chun bheith ina chomhalta den Rialtas agus (2) an Taoiseach, i bhfeidhmiú na gcumhacht a bheirtear dó le halt 4 den Acht Airí agus Rúnaithe (Leasú), 1946, sannadh na Roinne Talmhaíochta do Phroinsias Mac Aogáin d'fhorceannadh agus an Roinn sin a shannadh do Sheán Ó Maoláin, an 16 Bealtaine, 1957.
A communication has been received from the Secretary to the Department of the Taoiseach that (1) the President, on the nomination of the Taoiseach, with the previous approval of Dáil Éireann, appointed Seán Moylan, a member of Seanad Éireann, on the 16th May, 1957, in pursuance of Article 13.1.2º of the Constitution, to be a member of the Government, and that (2) the Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 4 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1946, terminated the assignment of the Department of Agriculture to Proinsias Mac Aogáin and assigned that Department to Seán Moylan on the said 16th May, 1957.
