Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 21 Dec 1960

Vol. 53 No. 7

Late Sitting.

In view of the unexpected length of the debate on the first item on the agenda today, I am afraid our programme of business will not be completed as we had intended. As far as I can see, there is not very much prospect of dealing with any more than the Dairy Produce Marketing Bill, 1960, tonight. I should like to suggest, and hope the House will agree, that we should sit, if necessary, until midnight to deal with this Bill, that the Minister should be called on not later than 11.15 p.m. and that we complete the Second Stage of the Bill before midnight, if possible.

Agreed.

And we shall adjourn until what date?

We shall adjourn until Wednesday, 4th January, 1961.

Do I understand that the Committee Stage will be taken on 4th January, 1961?
