That Seanad Éireann approves the following Order in draft:
State Guarantees Act, 1954 (Amendment of Schedule) Order, 1963
a copy of which Order in draft has been laid before the House.

I understand that the next business on the Seanad agenda is the Funds of Suitors Bill, where, I presume, the House will be discussing the matter of the Cork Corporation fully. I feel that I need not anticipate that discussion by going into the merits or demerits but, as part of the financing of the Cork Opera House, there is one item, that the State will guarantee a loan of £50,000. I have to get the approval of the Dáil and Seanad in order to approve that loan, under the State Loans Guarantee Act. I am asking the Seanad, therefore, to allow me to give this guarantee for £50,000 and to postpone discussion until the Minister for Justice comes to the House.
