Vol. 78 No. 13

Business of Seanad

Could I refer to a matter that was raised on the Order of Business this morning? Senator Eoin Ryan asked leave of the House to explore the possibility of taking the Prosecution of Offences Bill today. I have made inquiries in the matter, at Senator O'Higgins's instigation, and I am sorry to say it is not possible. The Report Stage of this Bill is being dealt with in the other House sometime after Question Time and the question of taking it here is too indefinite: a time could not be fixed. I have discussed it with Senator Eoin Ryan and he has agreed to leave the matter over until next week.

The Seanad adjourned at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 17th July, 1974.
