Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 28 Nov 1984

Vol. 106 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Brendan Ryan that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today he proposes to raise the following matter:

The continuing failure of the Department of Health ad hoc committee on the homeless to issue its report.

I received notice also from Senator Séamus de Brún of the following matter:

The immediate need for the Minister for Education to proceed with the building of the new vocational school already approved for Castlerea, County Roscommon, to replace the existing school which is totally inadequate and seriously impeding the educational progress of the students in attendance there.

I received notice also from Senator Alexis FitzGerald of the following matter:

The serious public concern arising from primitive lead polluting industries and other emissions from industrial processes and commercial or domestic installations in Dublin city.

I regard all three matters as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Ryan's motion for today's Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator de Brún and Senator FitzGerald may give notice for another day of the matters they wish to raise.
