Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Joachim Loughrey that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

Postal voting irregularities in County Donegal.

I regret that I have to rule that this matter is not suitable for discussion on the Adjournment on the ground of lack of ministerial responsibility.

May I contend that in view of the fact that I raised this matter for discussion on the introduction of the postal voting regulations on 13 March, that I warned the Minister in the House——

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have ruled as Cathaoirleach and that is the end of it. I stated in a letter to you yesterday that the Minister is not responsible.

Is the Leas-Chathaoirleach satisfied if 200 to 300 people in County Donegal are going to be deprived of their votes?

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have ruled.
